I made a second trip to Bushnell, IL. I have to admit there was a better turnout this time. Of course, there was more going on in town. This tractor show was a part of Bushnell’s community celebration.
Downtown Bushnell had a carnival set up. There was a car show in a park east of downtown. The west park was the venue for the tractors
This was my first time participating. From my understanding, the show has been annually for several years. Gary and Heather Havens took on hosting four years ago. The Havens have a good collection of Roof mowers, but Gary pointed out his old John Deere.
I didn’t count, but Dave Carton took a tally as he took photographs. The total on display was 90. Following are photos I took

The fire department was having a water fight or tug of war? Anyway, some kind of contest. The objective of the competition was to direct a hose stream at an overhead barrel, forcing it to the opponent’s end. Sounds easy enough! Accept the opponent is trying to get the barrel to your end.
This was very wet and great fun to watch. I did discover that since I asked….It’s evidently bad form to hose your opponent directly to distract them. I guess it’s not a real water fight then. It does take skill. The barrel was very unpredictable.
Danny Davis and I went off to find some grass that needed cutting. Actually, that was taking off for a parade that I didn’t complete…irrelevant why.
