I can’t help the feeling of “coming home” when I participate in the tractor show during Pawnee Prairie Days. Maybe it’s the fact that the show has been an annual event for me for several years now. Maybe it’s the fact that Pawnee is local for me. Ultimately, the fact is the great people!

It was such a great day. I’m just going to let pictures tell the story. My commissioned photographers with their credit keys Cindy Ladage *CL, Jessica Basford *JB, and Carl Davis *CD.

I had the great fortune to have my tractors graced by the royals of the day Adeoai Adlomako Miss Pawnee and Jr Miss Olivia Rogers were seated together on my N8W and R8

Little Miss Kayleigh Smith took her turn posing on the R8

Cindy took this picture of who Carl Davis claimed were the “handsomest” guys in Pawnee. Digger Dave Kemp quietly asked Is handsomest even a word? I think Carl meant most handsome, which I don’t claim. If Don Nowack. Carl and Digger want to, well, that’s up to them

The pedal pull was set up of course

Carl took a ferris wheel picture. I’m not sure who he enlisted to help. I’ve never seen him with a selfie stick.

Carl took a great candid of the Lawn & Garden row

Of course we played. Tim always manages to draw me in to help judge and call. I can’t help being helpful….and a clown
I got to start and judge the quick start race. Which was literally a photo finish. I’m glad Jessica videoed. We watched it before declaring a winner

The blind race had good competition. Actually, all the events did. The final competition was the slow race in which Justin King held the title for a few years running. His 806 can really crawl.
I was going to attempt a challenge with Keith Ladage’s 4020 but relented and attempted with my R8. Digger suggested I try in reverse. After a discussion with the judges, it was determined that no ruling states I had to travel facing forward.
I won my first heat against Griffin Boblitt. Of course, Digger had won his face off with Tim in the challenge of the Minnies. They raced, facing both directions.
My second heat was against Dave. That was close. Tim determined it a tie, but I conceited and let Digger go on to challenge Justin. Ultimately, Justin is still King.
~ Editors note~ Thanks again for the photography help Cindy, Jessica, and Carl
